The Background of the Ramayana

The Ramayana is set in a world where ancient Indian kingdoms, forests, gods, and humans appear together. At the center of the story stands the kingdom of Ayodhya and the fate of its royal family. Prince Rama is born as the heir to the throne, but unexpected events change the course of his life. This change becomes the starting point that moves the entire story forward.
