Ramayana Episode 8 – The War between Rama and Ravana

Rama defeats Ravana and rescues Sita, but her trial by fire reveals the tension between duty and trust.

As Rama’s army crosses the sea and arrives in Lanka, the war finally begins. The battle to reclaim Sita can no longer be avoided. Ravana, the king of Lanka, defends his kingdom with a powerful army. Soon the two forces face each other in a great conflict.

The War in Lanka

The war breaks out fiercely around the walls of Lanka. Monkey warriors clash with the soldiers of Ravana. Hanuman and the other warriors fight bravely as they advance. The battlefield becomes filled with noise and confusion.

Rama and Lakshmana also fight at the center of the battle. Ravana’s army contains many powerful warriors. The battle continues for many days. Both sides suffer great losses.

The Defeat of Ravana

At last Rama and Ravana face each other directly. Their duel becomes the center of the war. Ravana is a powerful king, yet he cannot overcome Rama’s strength and focus. After a long struggle Ravana is finally defeated.

With Ravana’s fall the war in Lanka moves toward its end. His army can no longer continue the battle. The battlefield gradually begins to fall silent. Rama’s army finally gains victory.

The Rescue of Sita

After the war ends Rama goes to the place where Sita is being held. The two meet again after a long separation. Sita has endured a long period of hardship before this moment. Their reunion marks the end of the war.

Yet the meeting does not bring simple relief. Rama speaks as a king who must consider the judgment of others, and he questions Sita’s purity after her time in Lanka. The moment reveals a distance that has grown between them.

Sita responds not with argument, but with a decision. She declares that she will prove her truth and steps into the fire. The flames do not harm her, and she emerges unharmed, showing that she has remained pure.

The war has ended, but this moment leaves a lasting tension. It reveals how duty and trust can stand in conflict, even at the moment of reunion.

라마는 라바나를 물리치고 시타를 구출하지만 불의 시험은 의무와 신뢰 사이의 긴장을 드러냅니다.

라마의 군대가 바다를 건너 랑카에 도착하면서 마침내 전쟁이 시작됩니다. 시타를 되찾기 위한 싸움은 더 이상 피할 수 없는 일이 되었습니다. 랑카의 왕 라바나는 강력한 군대와 함께 성을 지키고 있었습니다. 두 군대는 곧 거대한 전투 속에서 서로 마주하게 됩니다.

랑카 전쟁

전쟁은 랑카의 성벽 주변에서 격렬하게 벌어집니다. 원숭이 전사들과 라바나의 군대가 서로 충돌합니다. 하누만과 다른 전사들은 용감하게 싸우며 앞으로 나아갑니다. 전장은 소리와 혼란으로 가득 찬 곳이 됩니다.

라마와 락슈마나 역시 전투의 중심에서 싸웁니다. 라바나의 군대에는 강력한 전사들이 많이 있었습니다. 전투는 여러 날 동안 계속됩니다. 양쪽 모두 큰 희생을 치르게 됩니다.

라바나의 패배

마침내 라마와 라바나가 서로 마주하게 됩니다. 두 인물의 대결은 전쟁의 중심이 됩니다. 라바나는 강력한 왕이었지만 라마의 힘과 집중을 이기지 못합니다. 긴 싸움 끝에 라바나는 패배하게 됩니다.

라바나의 몰락과 함께 랑카의 전쟁도 끝을 향해 갑니다. 그의 군대는 더 이상 싸움을 이어 가지 못합니다. 전장은 점차 조용해지기 시작합니다. 라마의 군대는 마침내 승리를 얻게 됩니다.

시타의 구출

전쟁이 끝난 뒤 라마는 시타가 있는 곳으로 향합니다. 두 사람은 오랜 이별 끝에 다시 만나게 됩니다. 시타는 긴 시련을 견디며 이 순간에 이르게 됩니다. 이 재회는 전쟁의 끝을 알리는 장면이 됩니다.

그러나 이 만남은 단순한 안도감으로 이어지지 않습니다. 라마는 남편이 아니라 왕으로서 사람들의 시선을 의식하며 시타의 정절을 의심하게 됩니다. 이 순간 두 사람 사이에 생긴 거리가 드러납니다.

시타는 말로 대응하지 않고 자신의 선택으로 답합니다. 그녀는 진실을 증명하기 위해 불 속으로 들어가겠다고 선언합니다. 불은 그녀를 해치지 않고 시타는 아무 상처 없이 다시 나타나며 자신의 결백을 드러냅니다.

전쟁은 끝났지만 이 사건은 깊은 긴장을 남깁니다. 의무와 신뢰가 충돌하는 구조가 이 재회의 순간에 드러납니다.
